The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and science. Albert Einstein
As you know the universe in which we live is an enigma. Consisting mostly of empty space it is in constant motion with atoms and particles bumping up against one another and swirling energy fields reaching to the far ends of the galaxy. Millions of planets busily occupy what we call the Milky Way. A miracle is occurring before your eyes. Far-off into the reaches of space is a beautiful blue planet we call earth. A creation to itself, but on a smaller scale. You see the rise and fall of ocean tides the cyclic patterns of nature to the sound of thunder when lightning smacks a shuttering bolt of electricity through the atmosphere. A gentle reminder that you are surrounded by the forces of nature, and deeply connected with them.

Clear Mind, Empty Head?
By: Maya Talisman Frost, Tue Sep 26th, 2006
There’s a lot of talk in meditation circles about emptying the mind. This is a roadblock for many people. Why? Because it’s counterintuitive. After all, we spend most of our waking hours filling up our minds. We go to school, we get trained, we read, we learn, we absorb information from all around us. Then someone comes along and tells us that the best thing we can do is EMPTY our mind? Why would we want to do that?

A musician must make music, an artist must paint, a poet must write, if he is ultimately to be at peace with himself.
