Optimism is contagious

By: Gary M. Miller, Tue Nov 13th, 2007
In this fast changing, struggle-filled world, there are two kinds of people; those who see only the bad and those who see a whole lot more. Which person are you? It’s easy to see the bad and you don’t have to be a rocket scientist to know there are problems out there. It’s harder to see beyond the bad and into a world of promise and a better life. What it basically boils down to is, are you a pessimist or an optimist? You can be one or the other but you can’t be both.
The Power Of Optimism
By: Gary M. Miller, Tue Nov 13th, 2007
Most people don’t believe that their lives are the result of their own actions. They see themselves as victims, having been accidentally thrown into a life that they didn’t choose. They didn’t “choose” their parents or the country they were born in. They didn’t “choose” to be born without money or without the prettiest face on the block. Life seems unfair to them and full of bad people who are always looking to cheat and take advantage of everyone else. Does this attitude sound familiar to you? It should sound familiar because it is an extremely common attitude and probably makes up the majority of the way people think. For you, however, it doesn’t have to be this way. There is another way to think and it is called optimism.

How many times have you heard someone say, “Hey, cheer up!” or “Turn that frown upside-down!”? Unconsciously we all seem to know that optimism is a virtue and that a negative outlook is something to be concerned about. And did you know that there are actually a host of concrete reasons why this is so?
Nail Fungus Prevention
November 19, 2007 on 9:49 am | In Health, Medical, Medications, Miscellaneous | 1 CommentNail Fungus Prevention To help prevent nail fungus and reduce recurrent infections, practice good hand and foot hygiene by following these steps: * Keep your nails short, dry and clean. Trim nails straight across and file down thickened areas. Thoroughly dry your hands and feet, including between your toes, after bathing.* Wear appropriate socks. Synthetic socks that wick away moisture may keep your feet dryer than do cotton or wool socks (you can also wear synthetic socks underneath other socks). Change them often, especially if your feet sweat excessively. Take your shoes off occasionally during the day and after exercise. Alternate closed-toe shoes with open-toed shoes.* Use an antifungal spray or powder. Spray or sprinkle your feet and the insides of your shoes. * Wear rubber gloves. This protects your hands from overexposure to water. Between uses, turn the rubber gloves inside out to dry.* Don’t trim or pick at the skin around your nails. This may give germs access to your skin and nails.* Don’t go barefoot in public places. Wear shoes around public pools, showers and locker rooms.* Choose a reputable manicure and pedicure salon. Make sure the salon sterilizes its instruments. Better yet, bring your own. * Give up nail polish and artificial nails. Although it may be tempting to hide nail fungal infections under a coat of pretty pink polish, this can trap unwanted moisture and worsen the infection.* Wash your hands after touching an infected nail. Nail fungus can spread from nail to nail.

This is getting ridiculous. I’ve had well over 1200 hits for my Pimproll affiliate program and NO sales. Maybe it’s the banner I’m using on the message boards. I’m primarily promoting Mandy’s Diary , a Pimproll solo girl site. Maybe it’s not so much the affiliate program but the site itself.

MARKETING YOUR BUSINESS the ‘Affiliate Way’
By: Carl Hruza, Mon May 29th, 2006
An Affiliate Marketer is someone who actively promotes the products or services of one or more businesses, and receives commissions on sales generated through his/her referrals. A successful Affiliate Marketer is efficient and ’savvy’, can locate a good business opportunity and extract it’s full income generating potential. Applying Affiliate Marketing techniques to promote your business on the Internet can be very successful, once you understand some of the basics. We estimate that around 5 million people are involved in promoting affiliate web sites. The majority of these, perhaps 75%, will not generate a single commission check. Approximately 25% will make supplemental income from their programs, relying on income from other sources, with only a relatively small number of affiliate marketers who are very successful.
Documentary Claims Jesus Family Tomb Found
February 27, 2007 on 8:14 am | In Miscellaneous | 3 CommentsA Discovery channel documentary is sure to cause a stir especially within the Christian community. If true this would bring into question the basis of Christianity. In my opinion it will have little impact on those who are true believers since one of the fundamental tenants of Christianity is “faith” which does not rely on proof. By definition faith is belief without proof. However I expect many to blast the documentary by questioning the motives and/or facts, which is somewhat ironic. Those with strong faith should be able to shrug it off as irrelevant. Read more here Jesus Family Tomb Found

Online Dating
January 18, 2007 on 4:10 pm | In Miscellaneous | 3 CommentsOnline dating is becoming more accepted these days. Many people don’t have the time to get out and meet people the old fashioned way. On one hand it seems almost sad, but at the same time it can be very effective and if it works then it is good thing. Of course one of the biggest issues online is honesty. What can range from simple omission to out right lies is not really the best start for a lasting relationship. Although honesty is always the best policy some are reluctant to be completely honest for a variety of reasons. Online dating sites are big business and growing. I suspect they are still evolving and will become even better and more trusted over time.
